ST. LOUIS - The Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer team spent time volunteering at the Brazilian Day STL Fest on Saturday, September 10th. The Fest took place on Missouri Avenue next to Benton Park. It took place at the Yemanja Brasil Restaurante on at the corner of Missouri and Pestalozzi from noon to 8:00 pm. 

Brazilian Day is a street fest with live Brazilian Bands, dance lessons, food truck caipirinhas, children's activities, a soccer workshop and a capoeira workshop. The Hornets conducted the soccer workshop from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. 

Women's soccer represented HSSU with a small soccer field, where they played with children for several hours, while enjoying great Brazilian background music.
