COLUMBIA, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer falls 8-1 in the American Midwest Conference tournament semifinals on Monday night to Columbia College. With the loss, the Lady Hornets finish the season 8-6-2 while the Cougars improve to 16-1-1 and advance to the AMC tournament championship.
The Cougars would jump out to an early lead with a goal in the third minute and would add goals in the 11th, 27th, 30h and 37th minutes to take a 5-0 lead into the half.Â
Senior midfielder
Jasmin Kraus (Munich, Germany/Technische FOS München/SWOSU) would get the Lady Hornets on the board in the 62nd minute. The Cougars would add goals in the 75th, 80th and 81st minutes.
Freshman goalkeeper
Lena-Marie Winkler (Dornbirn, Austria/BORG Schoren) would make seven saves in net.Â
The Cougars would hold a 21-1 advantage in shots, 15-1 in shots on goal and 8-1 in corner kicks.
