ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University softball fell in both games of the doubleheader to Missouri Baptist. The Spartans won game one 18-0 and game two 8-0 over the Lady Hornets. The Lady Hornets fall to 0-39 on the season and 0-18 in American Midwest Conference play while the Spartans improve to 31-9 and 16-2 in AMC play.
In game one, the Spartans took an early lead with three runs in the first and tallied two more in the second, five in the third and eight in the fourth. Junior infielder

Desirae Atencio (Albuquerque, NM/Ecademy Virtual) each recorded a hit in the game.
In game two, the Spartans scored two in the first, two in the third, three in the fourth and one in the fifth. Sophomore infielder
Ramaya Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover) recorded a double, senior infielder
Remani Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover) and sophomore outfielder
Juanesha Washington (St. Louis, Mo./Carnahan) recorded hits in game two.
The Lady Hornets are back in action next Friday, April 26th at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Ala. with game one scheduled for 2 pm.
