CHARLESTON, Ill.- Harris-Stowe State University men's track and field team competed at the John Craft Invite hosted by Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
Junior sprinter
Xavier Flemister (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished seventh in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.45 seconds while finishing third in the preliminary round of the 60 with a time if 6.98 seconds. Flemister also finished 11th in the high jump with a jump of 1.70 meters (5-7).
Junior sprinter
Richard McNary (St. Louis, Mo.) finished 15th in the 60-meter dash in a time of 7.19 seconds and sixth in the 200-meter dash in 23.46 seconds.
Freshman sprinter
Stephan Harris was 33rd in the 60-meter dash in 7.88 seconds and 27th in the 200-meter dash in 26.61 seconds. Freshman
Eric Bland was 28th in the 200-meter dash in 27.03 and 10th in the 600 meter in 1:46.13.
The Hornets are back in action next Saturday, January 25th at the NAIA/JUCO Challenge hosted by Pitt State University in Pittsburg, Kan.Â
