ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference announced the members of the First and Second team All-Conference, the Champions of Character team and the Academic All-Conference team on Tuesday morning.The Lady Hornets had four all-conference selections.
Junior defender
Moenesa Mejias (Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago/Lewis and Clark CC) earned Second Team All-Conference honors. Mejias recorded four goals and one assist on the season and early in the season had to step in and play goal while allowing just four goals in net and earning a draw against Missouri Baptist.
Junior midfielder
Katharina Salomon (Vienna, Austria/HLTW Bergheidengasse) joins Mejias as a Second Team All-Conference selection. Salomon recorded team-highs with six goals, four assists, and 16 points for the Lady Hornets.Â
Junior defender
Luka Gorogranz (Berlin, Germany/Dodge City CC) earned First Team All-Conference honors. Gorogranz recorded three goals and three assists for nine points. Gorogranz finished tied for second with her nine points and was second with three assists.
Sophomore defender
Emma Auer (Kindberg, Austria/HIB Liebenau) joins Gorogranz on the First Team All-Conference. Auer was named Second Team All-Conference in 2024. Auer recorded two goals and two assists in 2025.
Mejias, Gorogranz and Auer helped anchor a Lady Hornets defense that allows just 1.56 goals against average.
Junior midfielder
Ana Bernardo (Florianópolis, SC, Brazil/Talladega/Central Wyoming CC) was the Lady Hornets selection to the Champions of Character team which includes one player from each school, selected by their coach and teammates as the individual who best exemplifies the Five Core Values of the NAIA Champions of Character® Initiative – Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, Integrity and Servant Leadership.Â
The Lady Hornets had four members named to the Academic All-Conference team and they include: Auer, Salomon, junior midfielder
Mikai Neal (St. Louis, Mo./Cardinal Ritter College Prep) and senior midfielder
Alexandra Forcelius (Curitiba, Brazil/TecPuc/SWIC).
The Lady Hornets open the AMC Tournament against #6 seed Hannibal-LaGrange at 1 pm today at Lou Fusz Athletic Complex Field #8.
