FAYETTE, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's track and field team competed at the CMU Open hosted by Central Methodist on Saturday.
Junior sprinter
Xavier Flemister (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished 12th in the 400-meter dash in 53.07 seconds and recorded a throw of 9.14 meters (30-0) in the shot put. Junior mid-distance runner Kenneth Sigler (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway North) recorded a throw of 5.85 meters (19-2.5) in the shot put.
Junior sprinter
Richard McNary (St. Louis, Mo.) recorded a jump of 5.85 meters (18-6.5) in the long jump and a throw of 8.23 meters (27-0) in the shot put. Senior sprinter
Bennie Amos III (New Orleans, La./Delgado Community College) finished the 200-meter dash in 23.94 seconds and the 100-meter dash in 11.75 seconds.
Freshman sprinter
Stephan Harris ran a personal best in the 200-meter dash in 24.55 and the 100-meter dash in 12.16. Freshman sprinter Dewuan Minigan ran a personal best in the 200 in 25.32 seconds and a personal best in the 100 in 12.21 seconds.
Freshman sprinter
Joshua Kirksey ran a personal best in the 200 in 26.00 seconds and in the 100 in 12.30 seconds. Freshman sprinter
David Robinson ran a personal best in the 200 in 27.71 seconds. Robinson finished the 400 in 1:04.25.
The Hornets return to action next Friday and Saturday, March 21st-22nd at the Miner Invite hosted by Missouri S&T in Rolla, Mo.
