Box Score CREVE COEUR, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer ends in 1-1 draw against Lincoln University of Missouri on Friday night at Lou Fusz Athletic Complex. With the draw, the Lady Hornets move to 2-3-3 while the Blue Tigers are 0-0-1.Â
Senior midfielder
Alexandra Forcelius (Curitiba, Brazil/TecPuc/SWIC) would be tested early and make a save in the 7th minute. Forcelius would keep the game knotted at zero with saves in the 23rd and 25th minutes. After the Lady Hornets would earn a corner junior defender
Luka Gorogranz (Berlin, Germany/Dodge City CC) and junior midfielder
Katharina Salomon (Vienna, Austria/HLTW Bergheidengasse) would play the short game on the corner. After Gorogranz would play the ball short to Salomon she would get it right back and send one towards the net that deflected off of a Blue Tigers player and find the back of the net for Gorogranz's second of the year and give Salomon her second assist of the year. The Blue Tigers would tie the game in the 44th minute and send the game into halftime tied at one.
Junior goalkeeper
Taylor Kolinski (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Community College) would make an aggressive save in the 57th minute as she came to the top of the 18-yard box and made the save. In the 63rd minute, junior defender
Moenesa Mejias (Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago/Lewis and Clark CC) had a chance to give the Lady Hornets the lead as her shot would be saved by the keeper.Â
Forcelius would make three saves in net as Kolinski made one save in net.Â
The Blue Tigers held a 13-5 advantage in shots, 5-2 in shots on goal and 3-2 in corner kicks.
The Lady Hornets return to action on Saturday, September 20th at 1 pm against Oakland City at Goebel Soccer Complex in Evansville, Ind.
