ELSAH, Ill. - Harris-Stowe State University men's track and field team competed at the Prin Relays hosted by Principia College on Friday and Saturday.

Freshman thrower Jabbar Granberry recorded two personal-bests. Granberry recorded a personal-best in the weight throw with a throw of 15.68 (51-5.50) meters to finish fourth. Granberry also recorded a personal-best in the shot put with a throw of 14.26 (46-9.50) meters to finish eighth.

Freshman sprinter Emmanuel Bonsu recorded a time of 7.08 in the 60-meters. Bonsu also ran a personal-best of 23.18 in the 200-meters.

Junior sprinter Caleb Carter recorded a time of 25.13 in the 200-meters.Â

Sophomore sprinter Detroit Walker recorded a time of 7.50 in the 60-meters. Walker ran a 8.70 in the preliminary round of the 60-meter hurdles to finish fifth and qualify for the finals. In the 60-meter hurdle finals, Walker placed sixth with a time of 8.85.

Junior thrower Sherodd Tate recorded a throw of 13.40 (43-11.75) in both the weight throw and the shot put.

Freshman sprinter Jalen Mcghee recorded a time of 42.90 in the 300-meters.

Freshman sprinter John Griffin recorded a time of 25.11 in the 200-meters and a time of 1:10.86 in the 500-meters.Â

Freshman thrower Aaron Beasley recorded a throw of 11.98 (39-3.75) in the shot put.

The team of Bonsu, Walker, Griffin and Mcghee finished fifth in the 4x200 in a time of 1:40.34.

The Hornets return to action on Saturday, February 7th at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. at 10 am.
