JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Harris-Stowe State University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Jim Green Invite hosted by Illinois College on Saturday.

Freshman sprinter Emmanuel Bonsu ran 7.11 in the preliminary round of the 60-meters to finish fourth and in the finals Bonsu ran 7.08 to finish fourth. Bonsu finished ninth in the 200 with a time of 23.56.

Freshman sprinter Tijaria Anthony recorded a time of 8.10 to finish third in the preliminary round of the 60-meters and 8.25 in the finals to finish seventh. Anthony ran a time of 28.22 to finish eighth in the 200. Anthony also recorded a leap of 4.62 meters (15-2) in the long jump.

Sophomore Jacobi Green recorded a throw of 13.94 meters (45-9) to finish ninth in the shot put and 12.79 meters (41-11.50) in the weight throw.

Freshman John Griffin recorded a time of 55.33 in the 400-meters and a personal-best in the 800-meters with a time of 2:12.46.

Freshman sprinter Sherasade Meghezi (Paris, France) recorded a time of 9.11 in the 60 and a leap of 4.25 meters (13-11.50) in the long jump.

Freshman thrower Jabbar Granberry recorded a throw of 12.53 meters (41-1.50) in the shot put and 13.49 meters (44-3.25) in the weight throw.

Junior thrower Sherodd Tate recorded a throw of 12.23 meters (40-1.50) in the shot put and a throw of 12.25 meters (40-2.25) in the weight throw.

Sophomore Emma Auer (Kindberg, Austria/HIB Liebenau) recorded a leap of 4.01 meters (13-2) in the long jump.

Freshman Aaron Beasley recorded a throw of 11.70 meters (38-4.75) in the shot put.

Freshman Amyla Meriweather recorded a time of 1:15.06 in the 400-meters and a time of 2:57.17 in the 800-meters.

Freshman Jalen Mcghee recorded a time of 1:00.40 in the 400-meters.

Sophomore Detroit Walker recorded a time of 8.70 in the 60-meter hurdles to finish fourth in the preliminary round and 9.48 in the finals to finish fifth.

Freshman thrower Shyla Reid recorded a throw of 9.12 meters (29-11.25) in the shot put and 11.86 meters (38-11) in the weight throw.

Keon Johnson finished the 400-meters in 1:04.39.

Freshman thrower Syain Washington recorded a throw of 6.36 meters (20-10.50) in the weight throw.

Sophomore David Robinson completed the 400-meters in 1:04.71.

The team of Bonsu, junior Caleb Carter, Griffin and Mcghee ran the 4x200 in 1:41.09.

Both teams return to action on Saturday, February 21st at the American Midwest Conference Indoor Championship at Principia College in Elsah, Ill.
