ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University softball fell 10-2 in game one and 11-1 in game two against the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Wednesday afternoon at Stars Park. With the losses, the Lady Hornets fall to 1-9 on the season and 0-2 in American Midwest Conference play while the Eutectics improve to 8-6 on the season and 2-0 AMC play.

Game 1:
Senior outfielder Noemi Tudon (Houston, Texas/Waldorf University) doubled with one out in the top of the first. Tudon would move to third on a groundout. Junior utility player A'Kiayah Scales (St. Louis, Mo./Mineral Area College) singled to score Tudon.

The Eutectics would respond with three runs in the bottom of the first. Junior second baseman Rakiara Bogan (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Mineral Area College) reached on an error to start the third and then stole second. Tudon singled to left and advanced to second and Bogan advanced to third. Junior outfielder Karmen Daniels (St. Louis, Mo./Fontbonne University) reached on a bunt single to score Bogan to cut the Eutectics lead to 3-2. The Eutectics would score one in the third and six in the fourth.

Tudon led the way with two hits while Daniels, Scales, sophomore infielder Jaida Phillips (Saint Ann, Mo./Pattonville High School) and sophomore catcher Brianna Huff (Columbus, Ohio/Private Tree of Life Christian College Preparatory High School) had one hit apiece. Daniels and Scales each had one run batted in.

Game 2:
Daniels doubled to right center with two outs in the top of the first and moved to third on a passed ball. Scales singled to center to score Daniels to give the Lady Hornets a 1-0 lead.

The Eutectics would score five runs in the second and six in the third.

Scales led the way with two hits while Daniels, Phillips, freshman infielder Crystal McFerren (St. Louis, Mo./Fort Zumwalt North High School) and senior shortstop Juanesha Washington (St. Louis, Mo./Carnahan High School) all had one hit.

The Lady Hornets return to action on March 21st at 1 and 3 pm against Hannibal-LaGrange at Stars Park.
