ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University softball 20-4 in game one and 13-10 in game two against Lyon College on Saturday afternoon at Stars Park. With the losses, the Lady Hornets finish the season 3-29 while the Scots improve to 7-29 on the season.

Saturday was senior day and before the games three players were honored and those players are: outfielder Noemi Tudon (Houston, Texas/Waldorf University), shortstop and outfielder Juanesha Washington (St. Louis, Mo./Carnahan High School) and outfielder Ana Bernardo (Florianópolis, SC, Brazil/Talladega/Central Wyoming CC).Â

Game 1:
The Scots would score three runs in the top of the first.

Junior second baseman Rakiara Bogan (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Mineral Area College) doubled down the left field line to start the bottom of the first and would steal third. With two outs, Tudon singled down the left field line to score Bogan to cut the deficit to 3-1.

The Scots extended their lead to 6-1 with three runs in the top of the second.

Freshman infielder Crystal McFerren (St. Louis, Mo./Fort Zumwalt North High School) was hit by pitch to start the second. Washington reached on a bunt single. Bernardo walked to load the bases. Bogan doubled to left field to score McFerren and Washington to cut the deficit to 6-3.

The Scots scored three runs in the third to extend their lead to 9-3.Â

In the bottom of the fifth, junior outfielder Karmen Daniels (St. Louis, Mo./Fontbonne University) reached on a bunt single and then proceeded to steal second. Washington reached on an infield single to third and Daniels would score to cut the deficit to 9-4. The Scots would score one run in the sixth and 10 in the seventh.

Washington led the way with three hits while Bogan and junior utility player A'Kiayah Scales (St. Louis, Mo./Mineral Area College) had two hits and Tudon and Daniels had one. Bogan had two runs batted in while Washington and Tudon had one.

Game 2:
The Scots would score two runs in the top of the first.

Tudon walked with one out in the bottom of the first. Scales would reach on a fielding error. Tudon and Scales advanced on a wild pitch. Washington reached on a fielding error to score Tudon. McFerren singled to score Scales to tie the game at two. The Scots scored two runs in the second.

Junior outfielder Zyon Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Lincoln University) walked to start the inning. Bogan doubled with two outs and nobody on. Tudon reached on an error to advance Bogan to third. Scales singled to left to score Bogan to cut the deficit to 4-3.

The Scots would score seven runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 11-3.

Scales led off the bottom of the fifth by reaching on an error and advancing to second. Daniels just missed a home run to left and ended up on third with a triple to score Scales to cut the deficit to 11-4. Daniels scored on a passed ball to cut the deficit to 11-5.

The Scots extended their lead to 13-5 with two runs in the top of the sixth.

Williams started the sixth with a single off the first base bag. Freshman outfielder Mora Orloff (CDMX, Mexico) singled to right field. Bogan singled to left to load the bases with nobody out. Tudon was hit by a pitch to score Williams. Daniels singled to center to score Bogan and Tudon to cut the deficit to 13-8. Washington singled to load the bases again. McFerren singled to center to score Scales to cut the deficit to 13-9.

Bogan reached on a one out single in the seventh. Scales doubled to left field to score Bogan to cut the deficit to 13-10.

Bogan led the way with three hits while Scales, Daniels and McFerren had two hits and Washington, Orloff and Williams had one hit. Daniels had three runs batted in while Scales and McFerren had two runs batted in and Tudon had one run batted in.
