ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer ended in a 1-1 draw on Tuesday morning against Brescia University. With the draw, the Lady Hornets are 2-3-1 on the season while the Bearcats are 3-2-1 on the season.

Goalkeeper Kheilani Alexander (Dallas, Texas/Life High School Waxahachie) kept the Bearcats off the board in the fifth minute. Forward Katia Hussein (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada/Mineral Area College) had her header saved by the Bearcats keeper. Alexander kept the game scoreless in the 36th minute. Alexander made two more saves before halftime to keep the game scoreless after 45 minutes of play.

Alexander would make a save early in the second half to keep it scoreless. Forward Clara Rosseto Pelegrina (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Oakland City University/University of Jamestown) would find the back of the net in the 58th minute with senior Keziah Oluoch (Nairobi, Kenya/St. Louis Community College) picking up the assist. Junior Laura Bordiga (Valdaone, Italy/Liceo Musicale Bonporti/Monroe College/Pratt CC) was turned away in the 64th minute. The Bearcats would find the equalizer in the 81st minute. 

Alexander would make six saves in goal for the Lady Hornets.

The Bearcats held an 8-5 advantage in shots, 7-3 in shots on goal. The Lady Hornets held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Lady Hornets return to action on Wednesday, September 16th at 2 pm central time at Indiana University Columbus in Columbus, Indiana.
