Scot Vorwold

Scot Vorwold took over the women's soccer program in 2014. He inherited a team that was coming off a 1-11-1 season and a 6-57-3 mark the previous four seasons. It took just three seasons for him to become the second winningest coach in program history while improving total victories and conference victories each of the first five seasons. In each of the previous five seasons his HSSU Hornets have received the NAIA Scholar Team award with a team GPA over 3.0. 

Vorwold enjoyed his most successful season at HSSU in the fall of 2018 when he guided the women's soccer team to an overall record of 11-5-2 and a 7-4-1 mark in the AMC. Following the conclusion of the season, Paula Ulreich was named the AMC Newcomer of the Year and was a First Team All-AMC selection along with Torrie Helms.

Vorwold started his collegiate playing career in 2004 playing for Meramec Community College (St. Louis, Mo.) where they were ranked fifth in the nation at the junior college level. Vorwold transferred to Harris Stowe in the fall of 2005.  Vorwold continued his playing career at Harris-Stowe as a student-athlete on the men's soccer team and as team captain for his final two seasons (2005-2007). Vorwold was an assistant for the HSSU men's soccer team from (2009-2015) and took over as head coach of the men's program in 2020. In 2010 Vorwold led his U17 girls’ team to a Futsal National title.

Vorwold served as the Athletic Director at Tower Grove Christian Academy from 2011-2020. In addition, he coached Tower Grove's varsity girls' soccer team to four state championships in the years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2019. For his efforts, her earned conference coach of the year honors in 2009 & 2012.

On September 11th, Vorwold became the all-time winningest head women's soccer coach for Harris-Stowe State University.

Vorwold is a graduate of Harris-Stowe where he earned his degree in Business Administration.
