Haden enters her first year as Head Coach at Harris-Stowe State University after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. At UMSL, Haden’s primary responsibilities were recruiting prospective student athletes, player development, overseeing academics, and producing scouting reports on opponents. She was also integral in helping produce two All-Conference selections for the Tritons.
Haden is a 2014 graduate of Western Carolina University where she graduated cum laude, earning a degree in Communication with concentrations in Journalism and Broadcast Journalism. During her time at WCU, she served as the starting point guard and captain of the women’s basketball team. As a senior, she scored in double figures five times, including a career high of 18 points, and tied for lead in assists for the season with 32. She also led the team to the Southern Conference semifinals for the first time in 6 years during her senior year. Haden is currently 8th All-Time in career free throw percentage at 80%.
Prior to graduating from Western Carolina, Haden attended and played basketball at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (2010-2011) and Mineral Area College (2011-2012), where she was named Honorable Mention All-Region and ranked 7th in the country in assists.
Originally from Springfield, Mo., Haden attended Kickapoo High School for three years before graduating from national power house Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.
