Washington, is a native of St. Louis, Mo. where she attended the legendary Vashon High School in St. Louis, Mo graduating in 2005. While in high school, Washington lead the varsity basketball team in scoring two years straight and was named Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the year, in addition was named one of the greatest athletes by Earl Austin in his published book titled “ The PHL in the STL.” After graduating High School, Washington attended Mineral Area College for only one year where she averaged nine points per game and had a career high of 17 points.

Washington started her coaching career on the middle/junior high level at Compton Drew Middle School location also in St. Louis, where she led the team to one of their many Championships. She then moved on to Soldan International Studies High School and took on the role as the Women’s Associate Coach for the 2014-2015 season.

Washington comes from a family of athletes and a tradition of excellence. Washington has a younger brother (James Washington III) who has played professionally in Europe for almost five years and a father (James Washington Jr.) who has coached on all levels for over 20 years.  Washington’s father has been the Associate Coach at Saint Louis University High School the past 4 years. Washington currently attends Lindenwood University and will graduate in December 2016 with a degree in Human Resources Management.
