Women’s Soccer Moves to 2-0 in American Midwest Conference Play

ST. LOUIS – The Hornets women's soccer team picked up their second conference win with a shut-out victory over the Stars of Stephens College.

Anna Schulte scored the first goal of the contest at the 21:45 mark of the opening half on a free kick from Rosa Schellmann. In the secod half, the Hornets turned up the heat, scoring an additional two goals. Mary Grace Angeli scored at 58:17 with an assist by Yasmina Dressen. Just as scoring began with Schulte, it ended the same; she nailed the final goal of the contest, unassisted at 80:29.

There were several opportunities for scores but the goalies were able to deflect or capture the shot. 

HSSU's goalkeeper recorded two saves while Stephen's Cordelia Dallam recorded nine.
