ST. LOUIS – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2022 and Women's Volleyball Academic All-District teams on November 22nd. Four Hornets were able to secure their place on the team by maintaining at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at HSSU.

Ariyonna Johnson, Queen Patterson, Ariel Stroud and Mallorie Wooten are the Hornets featured on the 2022 Academic Team for volleyball.

The student had to also be a starter or important reserve. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form (where applicable). Additionally, nominees must have completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.

The 2022 Academic All-District teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in late December.
