BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Harris-Stowe women's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking, 59-50, loss to the Scots of Lyon College, ending their season.
Despite strong second and third quarters, the first and final ten minutes made a lasting impression. In the first, Lyon outpaced Harris-Stowe, 17-11. The second was close, with the Hornets carrying the period 17-16. HSSU took the third 15-10 and dropped the final quarter 16-7.
Destiney Amarfula scored 13 points, two rebounds and one assist.
Deyana Dodd added eight-points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Surina Finnie and
Toree Jackson each scored six-points. Jackson also contributed five rebounds, while Finnie tallied two assists and one steal. J;Lessa Jordan led the team in rebounds with six.
