ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe softball team completed the HBCU Round Robin, 0-5.
In the opening contest, the Hornets faced the Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. UAPB won the game 32-0 in four and a half innings.
Zaria Palmer took the loss from the pitcher's circle. Harris-Stowe finished with five errors in the contest.
In the first contest against Lincoln University of Missouri, Harris-Stowe dropped the contest 23-0. Palmer took the loss again as the pitcher. The contest ended in four and a half innings. HSSU finished with no runs on one hit and six errors.
The Lincoln University of Missouri and Harris-Stowe faced each other again on February 26
th, with Lincoln taking the win 9-0. On the 27
th, Stephens College served as nonconference opponent for the Hornets. The Hornets dropped the contest, 18-0. The HBCU Round Robin wrapped up with Harris-Stowe taking on Lincoln University of Missouri. The contest ended 13-0, in favor of Lincoln.
In the 9-0 loss, the game ended in four and half innings, with the Hornets recording one hit. Palmer received the loss for Harris-Stowe. In the contest against Stephens, the game ended in four and half innings with the Hornets recording five hits and four errors. Palmer recorded the loss for HSSU. In the final contest against Lincoln, the Hornets recorded six errors. Palmer received the loss for Harris-Stowe.
Harris-Stowe State University will host Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods on Monday, March 7
th at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
