ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe State University softball team opened their 2022 home opener with President Dr. LaTonia Collins Smith throwing the ceremonial first pitch. The Hornets welcomed Saint Mary-of-the-Woods to campus for a double header.
Game One:
The Pomeroy exploded with eight runs in the top of the first inning. In the second SMWC scored an additional two runs. The third innings saw an additional seven for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods and in the top of the first, they scored their final run.
Game Two:
Saint Mary recorded nine runs in the top of the first and one in the top of the second. In the top of the fourth, the Pomeroy scored five additional runs.
The Hornets will host Lincoln College in a double on Wednesday at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
