ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe State University Department of Athletics recently visited the Better Family Life, Inc. Headquarters, where the history of the not-for-profit community development corporation was explained as well as the CEO's vision.

According to the corporation's website, the mission is, "To build strong families and vibrant communities by providing hope, comprehensive services, and meaningful opportunities."

After receiving the overview of the organization, the athletic staff was treated to a tour of the facility. One of the focal points inside the building was the Art and Empowerment Mural. This mural is the largest Black history mural within the state of Missouri. The mural encompasses 300 years of Black history.
