ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe State University Department of Athletics spent Saturday, June 18^th participating in the Metro East Saint Louis Community Initiative 5K Walk/Run and Health Fair.

The event lasted from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm and took place at the East Saint Louis City Hall. This was the 2^nd annual event and it featured East Saint Louis Mayor Robert Eastern, III, sponsors Enterprise Rent-A-Car, MINT (Midwest Institute for Non-Surgical Therapy) and more. A DJ was also present giving away prizes. Also present were the NAACP and Divine Nine organizations.

HSSU athletics is always looking for ways to give back to the community through community service.
