ST. LOUIS – Harris-Stowe State University entered a team into the Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation's 31^st Annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, June 22^nd. Joining the HSSU team from athletics were Interim Athletic Director, William Carey and new head men's basketball coach, Michael Cook.

Carey stated, "We, along with our colleagues from other departments on campus, were happy to represent Harris-Stowe State University at the Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament! Mr. Johnson and his foundation have done so much for countless members of our Harris-Stowe community as well as the entire City of St. Louis. As always, it was a great event."

This annual event is one of the many ways that Johnson honors the legacy of his late mother, who faithfully gave back to her community. With the assistance of volunteers and those that believe in the vision of the Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation, Johnson is able to continue his philanthropic work within the community.
