ST. LOUIS – The Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University welcomed the Mighty Oaks of Oakland City University to the Hornet's Field on Sunday afternoon. With their 3-1 victory, Head Coach

Sara Pablos scored the first goal of the content by being in perfect scoring position as
Jasmin Kraus took a corner kick and
Mary Grace Angeli headed it in her direction. Goal two came at the foot of
Rachael Manley on a pass from
Yasmina Dressen. Mary Grace stepped up further with the final goal for the Hornets on a pass from
Rosa Schellmann.
Madison Nicolas scored the Mighty Oaks lone goal in the 89
th minute of play.
Amelie Durupt played all 90 minutes for Harris-Stowe, recorded five saves and giving up one goal.
"I thought the ladies played well in the early stages of the game creating chances. We need to work on finishing those early chances and closing out the game defensively. Overall, it was a good team performance and we are looking forward to the next one," said Vorwold.
