ST. LOUIS - The Harris-Stowe State University women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over the Principia College Panthers on Tuesday evening.
The score each set are as follows: 25-11, 25-16, 25-11.
The Hornets dominated the Panthers in every category. In points, Harris-Stowe outscored Principia 58.0 to 18.0. Kills were 28 to nine, Aces 28 to nine. The Panthers didn't record any blocks, while the Hornets put up two. Harris-Stowe also outpaced Principia in assists; 25-6. Finally, in digs, HSSU dropped down for 17, while PC netted 3.
Jayden Sortor led the Hornets in kills with nine and in service aces with six.
Ariel Stroud tallied four kills.
A'nyla Watson recorded four kills and five aces, while
Darlene Fenderson added five aces of her own. In digs and assists
Arneka McReynolds and
Mallorie Wooten paced the team with seven and 13 respectively.

Harris-Stowe travels to Carlinville, Illinois, on Thursday, September 1st to face Blackburn College. First serve is 6:00 pm.
