ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe State University Hornets stopped the College of Saint Mary with a beautiful 1-0 shut-out.
Rachael Manley scored on a pass from Mary Grace Angeli in the 47th minute of the game.
HSSU's goalkeeper recorded two saves, with one being in the last 40 seconds of the contest. Gabby Felker recorded five saves for the Flames in the first half, while Alivia Schade conceded one.
"The team is really starting to click. We are moving the ball well and developing chemistry. We are creating chances and we're looking forward to hitting the road this week and continuing to improve," said Head Coach Scot Vorwold.
The Hornets will travel to Kansas, Missouri, to face Avila University on Wednesday, September 14th. Game time is slated for 1:00 pm.
