Harris-Stowe Men's Basketball Coaches to Participate in Coaches vs. Cancer

1/26/2023 3:56:00 PM

ST. LOUIS - On Saturday, January 28th, the men's basketball coaches will take part in Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers, a program that has been in existence for nearly 30 years. The American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches collaborated to increase awareness and encourage each person to be checked to detect any signs early.

College and high school basketball coaches and their staff across the nation trade their dress shoes for sneakers to wear with their suits during the games to raise awareness, helping to save lives by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection.

Let's look further into what it teaches. Set the screen. Remember cancer screening saves lives. Block our cancer. Please take the time to find out what test is right for you. Don't wait until you have symptoms, screening is safe, effective, and should be a regular part of your life.

Head Coach Michael Cook and Assistant Coach Jordan Andrews looks forward to seeing you this weekend as they display their suits and sneakers against Lyon College.
