Hornets Win 61-56 Over the William Woods Owls

ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe State University men's basketball team picked up another American Midwest Conference victory when they traveled to Fulton, Missouri, to face the Owls of William Woods University.

When the first half ended, the Hornets took a 35-33 advantage into the break. The first points of the contest were score by the Owls at the 19:43 mark. Patrick Evans nailed a three-pointer to take the lead for the Hornets.

The second half continued to go in favor of the Hornets. Alex Nunnally scored the first points at 18:23, while Jamarric Hammond knocked down both free-throws with 00:07 remaining in the contest.

Nunnally tallied a double-double with 17-points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Taj Toney 16-points, two blocks, one steal, one assist and one rebound. Hammond and Antwan Campbell each scored nine-points to aid the Hornets in their victory.

The Hornets will host the Columbia College Cougars on Tuesday, January 10th at 7:30 pm in the Emerson Performance Center on the campus of Harris-Stowe State University.
