ST. LOUIS – A great contest is one that comes down to the very second and the one between the Hornets of Harris-Stowe and the Eagles of Williams Baptist, did not disappoint. The Eagles were able to walk away with a 78-72 victory.
At halftime the score was tied, therefore it was a race to see who would claim the final 20-minutes. With the lead changing several times, the fans were on the edge of their seats. It was an electric environment, however, with the Eagles able to secure the final half, the game belonged to them.
Alex Nunnally exploded with 23-points, 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal. Patrick Evans added 18-points, five rebounds, two steals and one block. Antwan Campbell contributed 10-points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.
Duke Hardin paced the Eagles with 21-points.
Harris-Stowe will return to action on Saturday, February 4th at 3:00 pm, when the team hosts the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in the Emerson Performance Center.
