ST. LOUIS – The Harris-Stowe State University Hornets (Athletic Department) have entered into a strategic partnership with the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce, which includes a membership.

This opens up the door for full-time employment, volunteering, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal and professional development for student-athletics and staff.

The vision of the Heartland St Louis Black Chamber of Commerce is to be the most resourceful hub for black and minority-owned businesses that will cultivate a sustainable economic impact in the St. Louis Region.

"I AM EXCITED FOR THE PARTNERSHIP OF the Heartland Black Chamber and HSSU Athletics for the vast knowledge and mentorship along with personal and professional development opportunities and connections this will provide for our Scholar Athletes," said Denale Powell, Director of Athletic Marketing & Development. 

The Heartland St Louis Black Chamber of Commerce is a business incubator, development center, co-working/collaborative space & community.

They work with solopreneurs, small businesses, corporate partners, sponsors & non-for-profit organizations. Their goal is to improve funding, investment opportunities, wealth, education & resources with Black businesses all over the world.
