ST. LOUIS - The Hornets of Harris-Stowe State University earned their first win of the season with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Eagles of Avila University; earning Head Coach Nenad Todorovic his first win at the helm of the men's soccer program.
With intense heat building, the Hornets and Eagles were unable to score in the opening half, leaving the final 45 minutes as the determining factor in the contest.
Leonardo Mori face the goalie one on one in the 50th minute of play on a penalty kick, which he successfully made, lifting HSSU up 1-0. Not yet finished turning up the heat, Mori landed a beautiful goal for Harris-Stowe in the 53rd minute to wrap up scoring for the contest.

Harris-Stowe will travel to Dallas, Texas, to face Houston Tillotson University and Paul Quinn University on August 24th and 26th, respectively.
