Saint Louis, Mo. – After spending the last two months on the road the Hornets returned home to their highest scoring output of the season with a 72-57 victory against the Trojans of Hannibal LaGrange.
Junior Guard Sam Swire scored 21 points in a variety of ways including 2-2 from 3-point land and 5-5 from the free throw line
But it was Casandra Sams who was once again a force in the paint leading the hornets in scoring with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
Autumn Brown also scored in double figures adding 12 points with 3 steals and 2 assists
The Trojans were led by Ashlyn Vermeer with 25 points
The Hornets were scheduled to play William Woods on Tuesday but due to inclement weather that game has been postponed. They Hornets will travel to William Baptist on January 11th.
