Box Score WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - Harris-Stowe State University women's basketball fell 117-54 to Williams Baptist University on Thursday night. With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in American Midwest Conference play while the Lady Eagles improve to 3-1 and 1-0 in AMC play.
The Lady Eagles would hold a 5-2 lead after freshman forward
Tyara Davis (Kansas City, Kan./Blue Valley North) would make a layup. A layup from junior guard
Cailynn Dilosa (Gary, Ind./Merriville) would cut the Lady Eagles lead to 9-4. Dilosa would record another layup with just under six minutes left in the first quarter. Back-to-back jumpers from freshman guard
Alivia Montgomery (Little Rock, Ark./Little Rock Central) would cut the lead to 38-12. The Lady Eagles would hold a 44-12 lead after one.Â
Montgomery and Davis would score four points each in the second quarter while the rest of the scoring came from a free throw by senior forward
J'Lessa Jordan (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) and a free throw from freshman forward
Armani Bingham (St. Louis, Mo./Clyde C. Miller).
In the third quarter, the Lady Hornets would get field goals from Dilosa, Davis, Montgomery and senior forward
Toree Jackson (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central). In the fourth quarter, Jackson would score four points, while Montgomery hit two threes in the quarter.
Montgomery would score a career-high 21 points off the bench while Dilosa added 15 points. Jordan and Jackson each recorded seven rebounds.Â
The Lady Hornets went 19-61 (31.1%) from the field, 3-13 (23.1%) from three and 13-18 (72.2%) from the free throw line.
The Lady Hornets return to action on Saturday, November 23rd at 1 pm as they continue AMC play in Paragould, Ark. against Crowley's Ridge.
