ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University softball concluded the weekend against Columbia College in a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at Hornets Field. Columbia took both games of the doubleheader by winning 15-0 in game one and 22-0 in game two. The Hornets fall to 0-14 and 0-4 in American Midwest Conference play while Columbia improves to 12-10 and 3-1 in AMC play.
In game one, the Cougars jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they would score two in the first, three in the second, four in the third and six in the fourth.
In game two, Columbia's bats stayed hot as they would score six runs in the first, seven runs in the second and third and two more in the fourth.
Freshman
Isabella Romualdo (Aiea, Hawaii/Moanalua) would record two hits in game two for the Hornets.
The Hornets are back in action on Tuesday, March 26th as they travel to Greenville, Ill. to play Greenville University with games scheduled for 2 and 4 pm.
