CREVE COEUR, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer fell 1-0 to William Woods University on Saturday night at Creve Coeur Soccer Complex. With the loss, the Lady Hornets go to 3-4-1 on the season and 0-1 in American Midwest Conference play while the Owls improve to 5-3-3 and 1-0 in AMC play.
The Owls would take an early 1-0 lead with a goal in the eighth minute after a pass to the middle of the box that resulted in the Owls goal. The Lady Hornets best chance would come off the foot of junior midfielder
Alexandra Ribas Marcondes Forcelius (Curitiba, Brazil/SWIC) as she had a chance to tie the game with 30 seconds remaining in the game, but was denied by the Owls keeper.

Andrea Mohn (Ballwin, Mo./St. Louis Community College) each recorded two saves in goal.
The Owls held an 11-5 advantage in shots, 5-1 in shots on goal while the Lady Hornets held a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Lady Hornets return to action next Saturday, October 5th at 1 pm against #10 Columbia College. Location is to be determined.
