Box Score 4 JACKSON, Tenn. - Harris-Stowe State University women's volleyball competed at the Dragon Classic hosted by Lane College on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Hornets fell to Lane College in four sets, beat Lemoyne-Owen College in five sets, lost to Fayetteville State University and Christian Brothers University in three sets. The Lady Hornets are 2-9 on the season.
Senior middle hitter
Jayden Sortor (Sherman Park, Ill./Parkland College) would record nine kills against the Dragons. Sophomore setter
Isa Smith (Little Rock, Ark./Joe T. Robinson) would record 12 assists, nine digs and two aces. Sophomore defensive specialist
Dejah Foster (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) would record a team-high 11 digs.
Sortor would recorded a season-high 14 kills against Lemoyne-Owen. Sophomore outside hitter
Kyla McReynolds (O'Fallon, Ill./Althoff Catholic) recorded eight kills in the match while freshman middle hitter
Jehireh Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Althoff Catholic) would add seven kills. Smith would record 19 assists while freshman setter
Jayla Payne (San Antonio, Texas/Wagner) would record 17 assists.
McReynolds would record six kills and 11 digs against Fayetteville State. Smith would add 14 assists in the match.
The Lady Hornets are back in action on Tuesday, September 10th against Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio at 6 pm ET.
