Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's track and field team competed at the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks Invite on Saturday afternoon.
Junior sprinter
Xavier Flemister (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished third in the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.47 seconds. Flemister finished second in the 200-meter dash in 23.58 seconds and finished 11th in the high jump with a mark of 1.70 meters (5-7).
Junior sprinter
Richard McNary (St. Louis, Mo.) finished sixth in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.58 seconds and fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.91 seconds.
Junior sprinter
Joshua Kirksey finished 25th in the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.47 seconds and 16th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.65 seconds. Freshman sprinter and jumper
Stephan Harris finished 24th in the 55-meter dash in 7.47 seconds, 14th in the 200-meter dash in 27.15 seconds and 13th in the long jump with a leap of 4.98 meters (16-4.25). Freshman sprinter
Eric Bland finished fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:02.96 and 12th in the 800 in 2:13.41.
The Hornets return to action on Saturday, January 18th at the Eastern Illinois meet in Charleston, Illinois beginning at 10 am.
