ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference released the names for women's basketball players of the week for the week of December 1st.
Sophomore guard
Alivia Montgomery (Little Rock, Ark./Little Rock Central) was named AMC Offensive Player of the Week and senior forward
J'Lessa Jordan (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) was AMC Defensive Player of the Week.
Montgomery scored 30 points in the win over Simmons College of Kentucky. Montgomery recorded her second 30-point game of her career and of the season as she scored 31 at Southern University at New Orleans on November 1st. In the game against Simmons, Montgomery went 10-17 from the field, 5-8 from three and 5-6 at the free throw line. She also added in four rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Jordan would record seven blocks, one steal and 11 rebounds, in which four of them came on the offensive end. Jordan also added eight points and two assists in the win over Simmons.
