ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the SLU Speed and Power Festival hosted by Saint Louis University on Friday afternoon and evening.
Senior thrower
Damajee Brown recorded a new personal best in the hammer throw recording a throw of 44.81 meters (147-0) to finish second.
Junior sprinter and jumper
Alicia Robinson (Grand Rapids, Mich.) finished seventh in the 400-meter in a time of 1:00.79 and recorded a jump of 4.90 meters (15-9) to finish eighth in the long jump.
Freshman mid-distance runner
David Robinson finished the 800 in 2:23.73 to set a new personal best.Â
Junior sprinter
Joshua Kirksey recorded a new personal best in the 200 in a time of 25.75 seconds. Kirksey finished the 100 in 12.51 seconds.
Freshman sprinter Dewuan Minigan recorded a personal best in the 200 in a time of 25.08 seconds. Minigan finished the 100 in 12.44 seconds.
Senior sprinter and thrower
Shamari Long (Chicago, Ill.) record a throw of 8.14 meters (26-8.5) in the shot put. Freshman thrower
Saniya Thomas recorded a mark of 8.62 meters (28-3.5) in the shot put. Junior thrower
Ramaya Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover) recorded a personal best mark of 35.45 meters (116-4) in the hammer throw.
Both teams are back in action on Saturday, March 29th at the Billiken Invite hosted by SLU at 10 am
