DECATUR, Ill. - Harris-Stowe State University men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Big Blue Friday Night Invite hosted by Millikin University on Friday night.
Junior sprinter
Alicia Robinson (Grand Rapids, Mich.) won the 100-meter dash in 12.34 seconds, won the 200 in a school record time of 24.93 seconds and recorded a jump of 4.90 meters (16-1) in the long jump. Junior sprinter
Richard McNary (St. Louis, Mo.) finished the 100 in 11.14 seconds and the 200 in a season best 22.82 seconds.
Senior thrower
Damajee Brown finished second in the hammer throw with a throw of 41.08 meters (134-8), recorded a throw of 22.87 meters (75-0) in the discus and a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 7.56 meters (24-9.75). Freshman sprinter
Tesfazghi Emerson ran 57.88 seconds in the 400-meter dash and recorded a height of 1.80 meters (5-10.75) in the high jump.
Senior sprinter and thrower
Shamari Long (Chicago, Ill.) ran the 100 in 13.04 seconds, the 200 in 27.82 seconds and recorded a throw of 31.24 meters (102-6) in the javelin. Freshman mid-distance
David Robinson finished the 400 in a season best time of 1:01.87 and the 800 in 2:25.97.
Junior sprinter
Xavier Flemister (Minneapolis, Minn.) ran the 100 in 10.63 seconds to finish second and ran 31.89 in the 200. Senior sprinter
Bennie Amos III (New Orleans, La./Delgado Community College) finished the 100 in 11.61 seconds and the 200 in 23.54 seconds.
Junior thrower
Ramaya Atuatasi (San Diego, Calif./Hoover) recorded a throw of 35.01 meters (114-10) in the hammer to finish third. Freshman sprinter
Nigel Todd finished the 400 in 1:01.16.Â
Freshman sprinter Dewuan Minigan ran the 100 in 12.08 seconds and the 200 in a personal best time of 24.79 seconds. Freshman sprinter and thrower
Saniya Thomas recorded a time of 30.02 seconds in the 200, a throw of 20.06 meters (65-9) in the javelin and throw of 8.98 meters (29-5.50) in the shot put. Freshman sprinter
Stephan Harris ran 12.25 seconds in the 100 and 25.04 seconds in the 200.
Both teams return to action at the American Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, April 30th and Thursday May 1st at SIU-Edwardsville.
