FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Harris-Stowe State University men's track and field team competed at the Indiana Tech Indoor Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Freshman John Griffin ran a school record 1:31.16 in the 600-meters. Griffin also ran a 25.30 in the 200.

Freshman Jabbar Granberry recorded a throw of 13.12 meters (43-1) in the weight throw and a personal best 13.67 meters (44-10.25) in the shot put.

Freshman Emmanuel Bonsu ran a personal best 7.07 in the 60-meters and a personal best 23.83 in the 200-meters.Â

Freshman Aaron Beasley recorded a throw of 11.09 meters (36-4.50) in the shot put.

Junior Caleb Carter recorded a personal best in the 60-meters with a time of 7.48. Carter also recorded a time of 25.02 in the 200.

Junior Sherodd Tate recorded a throw of 12.00 meters (39-4) in the weight throw and 11.89 meters (39-0) in the shot put.

Junior Aidan Smith recorded a time of 8.17 in the 60.Â

Sophomore Detroit Walker recorded a time of 8.73 in the 60-meter hurdles and a 25.39 in the 200.

The 4x400 team of Carter, Griffin, Smith and freshman Jalen Mcghee ran a time of 3:56.21.

The Hornets return to action on Saturday, January 24th at Southern Illinois-Carbondale in Carbondale, Ill. at 10 am.
