ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference announced the names of the Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for Jan. 26th. Three athletes were named Athletes of the Week. Freshman sprinter Emmanuel Bonsu, junior thrower Sherodd Tate and freshman Tijaria Anthony.

Bonsu finished sixth in the 60-meters in a time of 7.11 and placed tenth in the 200 with a time of 23.95 at the SIU Don DeNoon Invite.

Tate recorded season-bests in both the weight throw and the shot put. Tate recorded a throw of 13.43 (44-0.75) meters to finish sixth in the shot put. Tate also recorded a throw of 13.54 (44-5.25) to finish tenth in the weight throw.

Anthony recorded personal bests in the 60-meter and the 200-meter. Anthony recorded a time of 8.06 in the 60 and 27.52 in the 200.
