ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference announced the women's basketball players of the week Monday afternoon and senior forward
J'Lessa Jordan (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) was named the AMC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week.
This is the second time this season Jordan has been named AMC Defensive Player of the Week as she won the award back on Dec. 1.
Over the course of three games last week, Jordan pulled down 12 of her 19 rebounds on the defensive end while recording 11 blocks, in which seven came against Columbia, and four steals.
Jordan added 35 points and seven assists. For the week, Jordan added 11.6 points per game, 6.3 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, 3.6 blocks per game and 1.3 steals per game.
