ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference released the names of the athletes of the week on Monday afternoon.

Junior thrower Sherodd Tate was named the AMC Men's Field Athlete of the Week after his performance at the WashU Invite.

Tate recorded three top-10 finishes that included a fourth place finish in the discus, sixth in the hammer throw and ninth in the shot put.

Tate recorded a personal best throw of 40.72 meters (133-7) in the discus, a throw of 45.53 meters (149-4) in the hammer throw and a school record throw of 40.16 meters (131-9) in the javelin. Tate also recorded a throw of 12.34 meters (40-6) in the shot put.
