TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Harris-Stowe State University men's and women's track and field teams competed at Sycamore Open hosted by Indiana State on Friday.
Freshman thrower Jacobi Green finished seventh in the discus with a throw of 44.07 meters (144-7). Green finished eighth in the shot put with a school record and personal best throw of 14.61 meters (47-11.25). Green's throw in the shot put places him #86 in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and #31 for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Freshman sprinter Emmanuel Bonsu finished fifth in the 100-meters preliminary round in a time of 10.64. Bonsu ran 10.70 in the finals to place third. Bonsu finished fifth in the 200-meters in a time of 21.81.
Sophomore sprinter Detroit Walker finished 10th in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.01.
Freshman thrower Jabbar Granberry finished 14th in the hammer throw with a throw of 44.37 meters (145-7).
Freshman Tijaria Anthony did not record a mark in the triple jump.
The Hornets will return to action in the 2026-27 season.
