Lady Hornets Soccer Shut Out at Culver-Stockton


CANTON, Mo. - Harris-Stowe State University women's soccer fell 4-0 at Culver-Stockton on Wednesday evening. With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 2-1 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 1-1 on the season.

 

The Wildcats controlled the first half scoring four goals in the 20th, 29th, 31st and 34th minutes. Junior forward Clara Rosseto Pelegrina (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Oakland City University/University of Jamestown) would be denied by the Wildcats keeper in the 34th and 39th minutes.

 

 Forward Katia Hussein (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada/Mineral Area College) was denied a goal in the 53rd minute.

 

Goalkeeper Genesis Rhodes (St. Louis, Mo./Fontbonne University/Webster University) made four saves in goal.

 

The Wildcats held a 13-3 advantage in shots, 8-3 in shots on goal and 9-0 in corner kicks.

 

The Lady Hornets return to action on Sunday, August 30th at 12 pm at Lincoln University of Missouri in Jefferson City, Mo.
