Robert Stelzer

Rob is in his first season as Assistant Coach for the Hornets. Rob played college soccer three years at the University of South Florida (1986-1988) and one year at Loyola Universtiy-Chicago (1989); he also played as a semi-pro player in the USISL (1997-1998) and in Germany's Oberliga (1998-2001).

As a coach he has served in the past as a volunteer assistant for one year for the Washington University Men's Team under Head Coach Joe Clark and one year at CBC High School under Head Coach John Hefele and Terry Michler, he also coached the University of Mannheim Law School soccer team in Germany from 2010-2014. Rob holds the USSF 'C' and 'B' licenses. As a student, Rob graduated from Loyola-Chicago with a B.A. in political theory in 1990, from the Mizzou Law School with a J.D. in 1995, from the University of Amsterdam's Law School with an LL.M in European and Int'l Trade Law in 2001, and earned his PhD project in international law with the University of  Mannheim Faculty of Law in 2016.

When not coaching soccer, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and two children in addition to being the owner/operator of the Amsterdam Tavern Soccer Bar in the Tower Grove South Neighborhood.
