Larry Young

Larry Young took over as the Head Softball Coach in 2019. This is his second stint as the Harris-Stowe State University Softball Program.

Larry Young is no stranger to the Harris-Stowe State University softball team as he served as the head coach from 2011 to 2014. During his time with the Hornets he was in charge of budget preparation, fundraising, travel, equipment, scouting, strength and conditioning, and scheduling. In addition to serving as the head coach for three seasons, Young also served as the assistant coach for the Hornets in the 2010 season.

Currently, Larry Young serves as a Youth Specialist for the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services. He is responsible for the safety, care, personal conduct, and therapy for clients that are in the Division of Youth Service Care.

Young attended Harris-Stowe State University and was a member of the baseball team for four seasons. During his time on the team, Young was named the 2007 Baseball Most Valuable Teammate and was a 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete. In addition, Young was named the 2010 Mr. Harris-Stowe State University.
