Lawson enters her first year as the assistant women's basketball coach in the 2019-20 season.

Originally from Cheyenne, Whyoming, Lawson played her collegiate ball at Mineral Area College before transfering to Cumberland University for her final two seasons. While at Cumberland, Lawson was ranked nationally in both blocked shots and rebounds while leading her team to an NAIA National Championship appearance in her senior season.

Lawson graduated from Cumberland University in 2015 with her Bachelors of Science in Sport Management.
