HSSU Dominates Talladega in 3-0 Win

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Hornets took home their seventh consecutive victory on Monday afternoon, taking down the Talladega College Tornadoes with a 3-0 final.
Harris-Stowe men's soccer posted yet another dominant performance, backed by goals from Juan Sebastian Moreno, Mickel Ravello, and reigning American Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week Ricardo Benini.
Back at home after a road victory over William Woods on Saturday, the men arrived at Hornet Field ready to play. Juan Sebastian Moreno opened the scoring immediately with an unassisted goal just 2:50 into the game.
After a pair of shots missed a few minutes later, Ricardo Benini found the twine after set up passes from Allessandro Urlati and Anthony Medina. Mickel Ravello put the game even further out of reach in the 28th minute when another Urlati pass led to his goal to extend the lead to 3-0
The Tornadoes shut down the home offense in the second half, but the Hornets' defense overpowered them to prevent a comeback. The visitors tallied just two shots, both in the second half, as HSSU coasted to a 3-0 win to extend their winning streak to seven.
The Hornets are back at it with an AMC matchup against Lyon College on Saturday, October 2. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Hornet Field.
